KC Classic Rules, Regulations, and Event Info

LOCATION:  Johnson County Community College 12345 College Overland Park, KS 66210. Carlsen Center Building.

DATE: September 15, 2018 at 0830 running format. Format design will be released to all competitors once entries are received.

CONTEST TIME: 8:30am Competition starts. Entire show running format, division times will be released closer to show date.

CHECK-IN: Friday September 14th from 3PM – 6:00PM FairField Inn 12100 Blue Valley Parkway, KS 66213. If any competitors do not report for check-in prior to 6pm Friday they will be scratched from the show. Local Amateurs may check in from 12-2 September 8th at Laser Sharp to avoid large crowd on the 15th. However, you still have to attend mandatory meeting below.

REPORT TIMES: September 15th at JCCC Carlsen Center.  11 am backstage Womens Physique, Male physique, Figure.  12pm Male Bodybuilding, Classic physique, 130P Bikini

CONTESTANT MEETING: Friday September 14th 7:30 – 8:30pm.Friday September 14th from 3PM – 6:00PM FairField Inn 12100 Blue Valley Parkway, KS 66213. Friday night meeting is mandatory!!!!!

Click here for TICKETS: $45 all day pass. Child’s pass $15 under 12 must be purchased at door. Must prove age. Johnson County College will add a surcharge and tax.  Tickets can only be purchased at Johnson County Community College.

Back stage pass will be allowed at one per competitor for $30. This is in addition to mandatory ticket that back stage helper much purchase and can only be purchased at registration.

HOTEL:  Book your group rate for Muscle KC Classic 2018!!!!  Host is Fairfield Inn, 12440 Blue Valley Parkway Overland Park, KS 66213. . (913)338-3600. Cutoff is 8/24/18. There is a full Refrigerator in every room and a limited number have a microwave. It is located 5 miles from JCCC and about 10 blocks from Laser Sharp registration (in between both locations). It is not the closest hotel to the college but none of the hotels by the college have google reports that we feel are adequate for our group. All competitors will be responsible for any damages to any hotel items and will be charged to their card.

ENTRY: The entry fee is $85 for the initial division of competition and $65 for each additional division.  No Entries after Sept 5th or a late entry penalty of $100 starting Sept 6th. No entries accepted after Sep. 9th (Polygraph fee is $45, NANBF registration fee is $80). ENTRY FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE, BE AWARE OF THIS WHEN YOU ENTER.

AWARDS: Awards will be given to the TOP 5 in all divisions, plus overalls and best poser. Various awards will be awarded to winners.

ELIGIBILITY: The competition is open to all physique athletes who have not at any time during the 84 months prior to this event, engaged in the personal use of anabolic steroids, other growth enhancing drugs.

TESTING: Every competitor will take a polygraph exam set by appointment with promoter. Appointments set in the order of entries received. Fee to polygrapher is $45 cash, payable with entry. Testing is good for 30 days of NANBF shows. Polygraph testing will start taking place on September Friday 7th-10th at the polygraphers office and host hotel the 13th-14th (times to be determined). Promoter will contact entrants 3-4 weeks before the show to schedule appointments for testing. Promoters have the right to test and retest. Open class and Overall winners will be urine tested. Promoters have discretion to ask any competitor to take a urine test.

NANBF membership is required.

All contestants must present NANBF card at check-in or new NANBF Cards are $80 and must be purchased online at www.NANBF.org prior to entry. You will be required to sign a release as a standard procedure at check-in. Parent signature required for those under age 18.

POSING MUSIC: Bodybuilding competitors will pose to music of their choice at the evening/finals show. Athletes who enter 2 divisions will pose in first class only. Music will be limited to 60 seconds. Music must be cued to start and recording must be of good quality. USB drives are preferred. CD’s only if you have no other means. No profanity! Figure and bikini music provided.  Bikini, Figure and Men’s Physique will do their routine to house music.

FIGURE POSING ATTIRE: Two piece swimsuits and heels. No thongs may be worn. Suit must cover 2/3 the glute area. Embroidery or embellishments are allowed on suits.

BODYBUILDERS AND WOMEN’S PHYSIQUE POSING ATTIRE: This is a running format so suits with embellishments and jewelry are allowed. Suits must be in good taste. No socks allowed on mens trunks. Props are allowed.

MALE PHYSIQUE POSING ATTIRE: Male physique competitors need to wear board shorts, (shorts must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button, no spandex and no logos are permitted on the board shorts however a manufacturer’s logo such as Nike symbol or Billabongs are acceptable.) Without a shirt. No foot wear. No body accessories. No Crossover to Bodybuilding. At finals, accessories & props attached to body may be used.
